I started painting when I was a child and since then I have improved my knowledge of art with the help of my instructors or by studying on my own. Now I am an art teacher with more than two decades of experience in teaching art to adults and children in California’s public and private schools, as well as other schools abroad.
In my art, I use different techniques including oil, acrylics, pastel, and mixed media. I have published several articles about art and painting styles in Plastic Art Magazine, Tehran and have exhibited my work in galleries in San Francisco, Roseville, Kuala Lumpur, Kish Island, etc.
In my teaching I focus on a student-centered approach and believe that a positive and supportive learning environment can help students feel more confident and take more risks in expressing themselves creatively. Now I am working with San Diego Unified School District in a program called Art Education Project. I teach visual arts to several public schools in our community and encourage a lifelong passion of learning in our students.
